Sunbeams is the lead pioneering agency that is spearheading this movement. But we are not the only ones working for quality education in Pakistan. There are a host of well-meaning organizations, all set up for the cause of uplifting the poor through education.

Sunbeams’ only role is to light the way to 100% literacy in our country. By implementing a mix of methods, and applying them consistently over large areas and over a period of time, we have learned valuable lessons and developed our own model. The model works. It delivers results on the ground. Alhamdu lillah!

We want to showcase this model, and use it as a base and invite others to come and inspect it. If there are any lessons to be learned, we would be happy to share our methods with others. If anyone can suggest ways to improve the model, we would be equally happy to learn from others and strengthen our model. So, based on mutual respect and learning, we would like to move forward together, with anyone who is willing to come forward and support this larger mission and vision.

Because after all, it is not the Sunbeams model we are working on … it is the Pk100 model, that brings together 100 strategies for 100% literacy. The Pk100 Model

Pk100 is a multi-layered model, that brings together a mix of methods and strategies which have all been tried and tested in the field and found successful, AH. It is the combination of various methods and strategies, applied in a systematic way in a specific target area (one union council), that creates the winning formula for success, in a very short period of time.
